Appeals Eligibility Review
An appeal is when you ask a higher court to review a final decision made by a lower court.
This resource is to help determine if you can appeal a District Court order. If your court order is from a different court, you'll need to check with that court for information on how to appeal.
You can’t use an appeal to retry your case or present new evidence. The appellate court will only review the evidence and information from your original trial.
The appellate court can agree with the decision, overturn it, or send it back to the lower court with instructions for further action.
This interview will ask you questions to help determine if filing an appeal is the right option for you.
